Alexandria City
The City of Alexandria is located on the west bank of the
Potomac River six miles south of Washington, DC and nine miles north of Mount
Vernon, George Washington’s home.
Alexandria, which is almost 50 years older than the City of
Washington, is one of America's most historic communities. The area is about 16
square miles and home to more than 130,000 residents.
